8. Rules:
Mold
& District Pool League Rules
a) To
adopt World Pool Association Blackball Rules in conjunction with the E. &
U.K.P.F. rules. Copies of these rules
have been made available to all Teams.
b) Each Frame Break will be determined by
“Lag for Break.” 2 balls being placed on
the Baulk Line, usually a Red and a Yellow Ball achieve this. Both Balls are then hit simultaneously by the
2 players down the length of the table and whoever’s Ball comes to rest nearest
the Baulk Line Cushion will have earned that Player the right to break. Breaks will no longer rotate every other.
c) Failure to attend Meetings with Subscriptions
will result in a 2 Point Deduction for EACH occurrence.
d) All
Matches are to begin at 8.00 pm. If at
8.10 pm no one has arrived or called to explain that they have been delayed
then the 1st game may be claimed. For
every 10 minutes after this time another game may be claimed until the arrival
of the opposition or a call has been received.
If at 9.00pm at least three players have not arrived then the Match can
be claimed as a 10-0 win. All decisions as to claim or play the games if the
opposition does arrive late are left to the discretion of each individual
team. Once the match has commenced no
time gaps will be permitted between games to allow for other Players to arrive. If you do not have enough Players to fulfill
the entire fixture, then you must play all available Players.
e) Singles & Doubles Matches will be
played over 5 legs except the Semi Final will be played over 7 and the Final
which will be played over 9 legs.
f) Players may not play for different
Teams within the Mold & District Pool League.
All transfers between Teams must
be approved by the Committee (even within pubs i.e. ‘A’ & ‘B’ teams).
g)
Combination
shots on the black to win are allowed.
You may pot your last colour and the black in the same shot.
h) If the game becomes a stalemate then
it is a 9 ball re-rack. You take the front ball and the back five out of the
rack.
i) It is the responsibility of the Player to call “Total Snooker” and not
the responsibility of the Referee.
j) In the event of a
team not turning up then best result in that division will be awarded. Any team
failing to turn up for fixture 3 times during season will be expelled from
league.
k)
